i think they should incorporate running .iso's compressed in a .rar file.

that way you would be able to fit more games on you hd.

for ex, super paper mario is about 500mb compressed, could a program somehow fill in the empty space and you can just load the .rar file?

i think that would be amazing.

It would take ages to load as it would effectively have to unrar the game before it could load it. If it were a viable option im sure it would be implemented already

plenty of games are less than 3gb compressed.

thats at least 25% of space you would be saving.

but anyways, just daydreaming.

No you wouldn't save anything. The games are scrubbed when they're installed and the data that is copied over isn't very compressible anyway. You'd probably save a few megabytes, if that.

As seen in this wiki: http://wiki.gbatemp.net/wiki/index.php/USB...e_Compatibility the game sizes are already very small. Usb loaders use .cISO not .ISO, where the c stands for compressed. So basically they are smaller than normal already, thus raring them won't help you (much).

To take your example: Super Paper mario takes 400MB on USB loader, thats even 100MB smaller than when rared (if you say its 500MB)
