Hacking Update from hacked 3.2u to 4.2

Hey guys, I'm running a Wii with 3.2u firmware. About a year ago I modified it with cIOSCORP and have been happily playing backups on it. Recently I've decided I want to indulge on some of the newer features of 4.2 firmware, but I have a questions about upgrading:
If I follow, say, the CompleteSoftmodGuide for updating ( here ), will it safely update my system to 4.2? What will happen to the things I've installed? Will there be any problems reinstalling things like cIOS's because they were previously installed when it was 3.2?
I want to make sure it's safe before I proceed with the upgrade, thanks a lot in advance

nok for me with this guide.
i was in 3.1v2 with cios 38rev17+hbc_v101
dump wads offline:ok
errors when i load ios11,20,50 even news dowload.
errors with dopmii when i want to load ios70+menysystem

If you simply install IOS70 and System Menu 4.2, the only consequene is that you might have to reinstall the HBC. But I recommend that you also update your cIOS, etc. Just work through the whole guide.
