Hello, my small team IS FINISHED WITH THE translation project for UPPERS! An over the top, flashy beat-em-up. The hacker on the team actually started the project alone as a rough menu translation only. I then contacted him about bringing translators on board and making a full translation of the game.

That's right! Right on the heels of the announcement for an official western release on PS4 and PC, the unofficial translation for VITA is now playable! :D
On behalf of the translation team, I hope you enjoy playing UPPERS! in english finally.
No link will be provided, as the patch does contain some assets, so it may not be allowed here, but if you've heard about it before, I'm sure you read it somewhere. XD

Current team:
TheQuietOne (me): Project coordinator, tester
Froid_San: Hacker, credit for initial menu translation
randomdice101: Translator (retired)
Bakura: Translator

CappDog: Spanish Translator
Tony Blue: Portuguese Translator

Current project status: Active
Menu translation 100%
Dialogue: Playable characters, Queens, etc. 100%

Story: 100%

Project release date: 8/18/2018

In case you are curious as to what the game is like, here's a short gameplay trailer:

The game only has a menu translation as of now. If I'm mistaken, please post a link to this other project or whatever source you got that information from. Thanks.

I really need more to go on than "It already exists". A google search turned up absolutely nothing.

I get the feeling either:
1. English isn't your native tongue?
2. You did not read my first post thoroughly?

Literally my opening line:

Hello, my small team has been working on a translation project for UPPERS! An over the top, flashy beat-em-up. The hacker on the team actually started the project alone as a rough menu translation only. I then contacted him about bringing translators on board and making a full translation of the game. We have one translator already and are looking for more, so what better place to ask than the community that I see a ton of translation projects hosted on?

It's all good. We all have derp days. :D

No offence meant @Sora Takihawa. I figured we were just having a bit of miscommunication. :)

Yes, this IS indeed Froid's project. I approached and asked him to make it a complete translation. He said that translators would be needed, as his patch is just a rough menu translation. I then took it upon myself to seek out translators in the shadows. We have one on the team and need more. Keeping the project quiet isn't helping the situation, so we as a whole, decided to make the project public and openly ask for help. I hope that clears things up a bit. :D

Yeah, it definitely has a feel to it that I would think a western release would be a good fit. But, that's why this project exists. Because it DOES deserve a western release. So if the game devs won't do it, WE WILL! XD

Just to clarify, NO hacking knowledge is required, just translation and simply inserting the text into a spreadsheet. Froid has all the hacking and reinsertion on lock.

Why not they just mine Monero instead of scamming vulnerable people? If they have a decent machine they can hit a jackpot at any given time.

Technically, cryptocurrencies aren't illegal, as long as you don't use it for criminal activity. If you sign up with an exchange, and that they get a tip from law enforcement, they have the right to freeze your assets.

Nigeria's central bank did make crypto illegal before, until last year they lifted the ban. Always make sure to check before you exchange. ;)

@SylverReZ, speaking of crypto i remember reading about a guy who spend like 10 grand bitcoin on a couple pizzas (when bitcoin wasnt as worthy as nowadays)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's mental. If he had saved up when Bitcoin sky-rocketed in price, then he might've become the next Jeff Bezos for all I know.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, he couldnt know the price was gonna skyrocket anyway
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, Then it dropped sometime in 2022, 2021 was when it really went up in price.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@SylverReZ, I also recall watching a video of some failed games with their own crypto currency or smth like that, lemme link it to you (it's in spanish tho)
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, I remember that. Didn't Steam ban games with NFTs before somehow devs managed to circumvent it? Think EA tried to dabble in NFTs too.
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Glad to hear people realise that NFTs aren't worth it these days. They realise that they're JPEGs hosted on a file-hosting site like AWS or Google Drive.

    Atleast it has captions
