Hacking what the heck are .tex .ptex and .motma files?

i was extracting a game and i found the Texture files because i want to edit them. i tried several tex to png converters and what not, but nothing worked! can someone please explain what they ae and how i can view them? i would be very happy, thank you. i know that you can dump textures on dolphin but i can´t run dolphin properly bc it keeps lagging on my pc.

.motma files are obscure wii backup files as far as I know...

Thanks but i was looking and the tex file type is called "fipa" i found a software that extracts it to .png but it doesn´t work. do you know what a "fipa" file is?

Read the lifewire article I linked and try some of the programs it mentioned...
