Title :
William Shatners TekWar
Story :
An ex-cop who is hired to be a hitman whose mission is to exterminate drug dealers who peddle `tek`.
William Shatner's TekWar is a 1995 first-person shooter video game for MS-DOS produced from Capstone Software. Its one of the first licensed Build engine video game and uses an earlier version than Duke Nukem 3D.
Release : jftekwar-vita v.0.8
Author : Rinnegatamante
NFO :
jftekwar-vita is a port of jftekwar (JonoF's Tekwar), an unpolished multiplatform source port of Tekwar.
The software is served as-is, expect some bugs since the original source port never got polished to match jfsw/jfduke3d quality.
Requirements :
- libshacccg.suprx
- Game Data Files: PC
Changelog (v.0.8) :
First Release.
Installation :
Place your Tekwar data files in ux0:data/jftekwar, then replace palette.dat with the one supplied as Data Files on VitaDB.
Extra :
You will require game data from an original release of TekWar, specifically:
All files with an .art extension.
All files with a .map extension.
lookup.dat
nlookup.dat
sounds
All files with a .smk extension.
Use palette.dat from the data directory of this repository.

or

Issues :
- Controls are not re-bindable since the game lacks a cfg file.
- Game can occasionally lose completely sounds. If it happens, restart the game.
- Game lacks controller support. Inputs had been implemented via emulating keyboard+mouse.
- Game lacks Polymost renderer support. Due to so, game will use software renderer and so resolution has been hardcoded to 480x272 to not have bad framerate.
- Game lacks music playback since in the original game it was offered solely as CD audio.
Note :
Former Capstone Software programmer Les Bird released the source code of several abandoned Capstone games (as Capstone shut down in 1996) also TekWar.

Million thanks for a other PC port, love it.
First Test :
compiled myself = YES
file size data pack = 175MB
1 - CDRom ISO Image (~500MB) = NOT WORKING, first 2 videos start but the game stop and go back to the Vita main menu !
2 - Rip version p2p (~47MB) = WORKING, Rip version has no Video, game start
3 - Rip Version p2p + ISO Image Video folder SMK = WORKING, copy the SMK folder from the ISO to the Rip folder works
Result :
CDRom version = NO
Rip version = YES
game start = YES
videos works = YES (taken from CDRom version)
sound = YES
music = not tested (maybe not working, say NFO)
*
Option and settings and Music testing later EDIT
EDIT :
Music maybe NOT working !
Save and Load make troube, after save the game freeze, DONT close and wait 1 minute, after that the save file is still working !
