Hi. New member here. I just got my jtagged xbox 360 and I want to add emulator games. Do I have to format first the external hard drive that I'm using? Because after transferring all the files the usb didn't show up on the menu screen. Thank you

I already formatted it to fat32 and transferred back the emulator games. I also saw something on google that instead of fat32 use exFAT but I haven't done that yet.

The 360 will not read from a drive that's not formatted as Fat32, specially for storing 360 data like games, saves & profiles. Not sure if you can transfer files from/to a exfat (or ntfs) formatted drive in a file manager like in Aurora or XexMenu. If they allow you to do that, then it's not an issue..

Hello, sorry for the bump, I'm also a new 360 JTAG user, how are you supposed to transfer games larger that 4gb ?

Extract your game ISOs to folder rips or GOD containers.
Xbox 360 doesn't have files over 4 GB.

Hello, thanks for the quick reply. That's the problem, I have a bunch of iso games already converted into GOD folder format, but they're still way too large for FAT32 4go limitations.

Or maybe I missed something, idk

God containers won't weigh in over 4 GB.
Alternatively, connect your machine to the network and use FTP, it'll bypass any and all USB transfer.

You're likely misunderstanding the 4gb limitation. One single file can't be larger than 4gb, but the entire game can be. That's why if it's in God format like you say there should be many files and no one file is over 4gb.

Yes, I feel so dumb, always got a problem understanding the FAT32 format, I thought it was the size of the folder only that counting. Sorry fot the bump and thanks you 3 for help !

You have to format your USB to FAT32 (maybe NTFS should works as well IIRC). THEN go to Xbox > System Settings and Format your USB to be used with your Xbox. THEN you should be able to use your USB normally in both your PC and Xbox. Just transfer bare files as you would do as any other media, and they will show up on Xbox.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.
