FileTrip Whats up with Filetrips search algorythm ?

more often than not a filetrip search won't yield a result while a regular google search will actually find a filetrip page.

Why is that ?

No idea- the search engine (especially the http://filetrip.net/somesearchterm option) did wonders for me back when but it broke after an update once (along with a lot of tag support). I will often get roughly what I am after but what few results are returned are very limited.

By most accounts Costello is working on lots of things for filetrip at present so this might be a problem that has been sidelined for the time being.

All this said if you see a file you reckon should be pinned or should be in another section do make a report as it will definitely be considered and the section breakdowns of the public side of filetrip are something we take seriously.

hmm that searchterm option sounds interesting, I'll make sure to remember that.
