Just screwed my DS

So, I was trying to repair that annoying crackling speaker and my battery issue by the same time, and at the end of the process, the touchscreen of my DS flashed when I tried to turn on my DS. I tried to unplug the ribbon, but I broke the little black thing that fixes the ribbon to the motherboard. So no more DS for me. Strangely, I'm not that sad or upset. I haven't playing with my DS for a while... The only thing is that I'm leaving in 3 days to some no man's land so I'll miss it. I'm thinking about buying another DS or a brand new DSi. And why not a PSP (old model) instead of a DS... Hmmm...

Get a new DS, NAOW.

Don't get a PSP. They have terrible battery life.

I think. I have a launch day PSP 1000 ultra fat.

My PSP 1000 has a terrible battery life I end up playing with it still charging.
as for the little black bit just replace it with something that will hold th ribbon in place, my PSP has tin foil in it XD (which was very carefully placed I might add)

If you have soldering skills you could try to replace it.. else you could as others statet to a last resort and just glue the ribbon on

I did the same thing there a while ago when i was changing the cover on my DS Lite. I gave to a lad i know in the local PC repair centre and he fixed it in place.
