PBW Viewer - v1

So, basically this is a program I made. Doesn't have much to do with video games or GBAtemp, for that matter, but none the less I finished it and it does work. So perhaps it will interest someone.

ReadMe:

This application allows you to parse the information out of Photobucket Slideshow (.PBW) files. It supports opening a PBW file from your computer, or downloading it on the fly from a url.

You may be thinking, what in the world is a PBW file? Basically, Photobucket has a slideshow creator, which allows you to select some images and have them be shown in a flash viewer on any website, myspace, etc. The flash viewer loads the pictures based off of an xml file, which is named as a .pbw file. This file has all of the image urls and information about what is being shown, and since it is a file, it can be downloaded and information can be extracted.

So basically, if you want pictures from a Photobucket slideshow, use this.

Features:

* Loading of PBW files from disk or web.
* You can paste several variations of the PBW url, and the Viewer will do its best to locate the actual file.
* Extraction of the username, PBW title, all image: browse urls, image urls, and thumbnail urls
* Allows downloading of individual images, or
* You can download all of the images in a PBW slideshow with one click.
* Previews can be downloaded when opening the PBW, so you can rely on more than just the filename.

What are the variations of a PBW url? How can you find one?

The 3 url types which the Viewer can read are:
-*.photobucket.com/albums/*/account/PBWFILENAME.pbw
-*.photobucket.com/albums/*/account/?action=view&current=PBWFILENAME.pbw
-*.photobucket.com/pbwidget.swf?pbwurl=http://*.photobucket.com/albums/*/account/PBWFILENAME.pbw

The first is the core file url, and will always be loaded correctly. The second is the viewing url, which is also parsed. The third is the url you would find if you take it from the flash player. Notice the "?pbwurl=", that is the parameter being passed to the pbwidget.swf, the flash player. Everything after the equals sign (=) in the third is identical to the 1st example url, hence it is the "pbwurl".

For more examples, just google something like "PBW slideshow". This brings up a whole bunch of PBW files you can test.

Requires .NET Framework 2.0, wish it didn't but I like C# so that's the way it has to be :P
Download Mirrors: RapidShare, DepositFiles, More at official page.

Looks nice.

The Official Mirror is broken btw. Links is probably completely wrong and even if I correct it (removing the last p and also the duplicated webpagename) it still doesn't work. :(

Thanks :)

The link should be fixed now. The duplicated must have come from when I uploaded with RightLoad, it always adds the domain twice, and sometimes I don't catch it. The second letter p should be there, that's how I get around the bizzare block of zip files at Atspace.
