Ok im lost. I have already got homebrew and homebrew browser on my wii. I added the emulators that I want and I have the usb loader also. My issue is I need games. I went to <no..> tried getting a game for psx emulator I have on my wii and a GameCube game amd a wii game. This is where I think I'm getting something wrong. I dowoad them using winwar I unzip and ad them to my usb I made a folder on it for games. Than I do to the wii put in the usb can't find any games or anything .Am I missing a step? I've been told it's super easy but all the instructions online only go so far. After installing the homebrew stuff they all pretty much end

Just so you are aware, the probable reason why no one is answering you, is because you openly admitted to pirating games. This is against gbatemp’s rules and policies, and also against the personal beliefs of the majority of users on this forum. Had you asked something more general like “how do I manage my wii backups” or “why aren’t my wii backups showing up in my usb-loader” you would probably have had more success.

Under the circumstances I won’t be offering any other help in this topic, other than to vaguely say the software\guides from my signature doesn’t “pretty much end” after installing homebrew like the other methods you’ve come across.

Personal beliefs 🤣 Thread is about a dead console, not a single penny of any game you buy for this machine will go to devs or publisher.

OP: go through the following links, they should answer most of your questions -
Gamecube games
More on Gamecube games
Wii games

As for emulators, I'm not the person to ask.

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM

  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm

  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space

Nor clothes 🤮 . Saves on time, soap, water and money having to wash them. :D
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@rqkaiju2, Physical media is a great source for archiving your data, none of that cloud storage shiz.
