    4.2 was sort of an anti-hack patch, nothing more. its safe to upgrade to it with the current tools, but there is no reason to do so. same with 4.3, but its less safe at the current time

    main thing you need for new games is new IOS files, though having up to date cIOS and homebrew doesn't hurt either. Download the NUS Auto Downloader from the sticky above, enter the wizard, follow instructions. edit: Sorry, its called "ModMii" now. damn you, Xflak

    I believe the warning is in regards to full cIOS packs like cIOScorp and DARKcorp. and yeah as tj said you need a GC controller to play the games anyway so #4 is kind of a moot question.

    its not really required, works fine without it, but it would give a nicer presentation in my opinion. Netflix should have been a channel to begin with.

    have you checked to make sure your usb drive is fully compatible? some drives just don't work with some apps.
