Hey guys!

I just 'backed up' and converted 'my copy' of sm4sh, (without inserting a correct header, and ignoring the 7x xorpad, if it matters), and I tried going online. Against my expections, it somehow worked and I played several matches?!

Can anyone confirm this? :D

The point of adding headers for online play was that scene ROMs come without headers. If you dumped it yourself it'll have the header.

Check if it has a header already. The hell are you waiting for? This "mystery" could have been solved before it even became a mystery if you had done just that.

Before the USA ROM was available on most sites, there was a personal dump with a header going around on a certain warez forum... so it's totally possible that the one you downloaded already had a header. That one did.
