Hacking Backup Launcher 0.3 Gamma - Noncompatibility List

According to the wiki Super Swing Golf Season 2 does, which is the NTSC sequel to it (Super Swing Golf 1 is the euro sequel, which I'm going to try in a min).

Anyone who wishes to try the NTSC versions they are:
Swing_Golf_Pangya_JPN_Wii-Caravan
Super_Swing_Golf_NTSC_Wii-VORTEX

Stupid changing of names in different regions - I blame the amerikans. ;p

Super_Swing_Golf_Season_2-USA-WII-PreCiSiON works on my PAL Wii using Backup Launcher gamma (both launching normally and through disc channel with rebooter), but won't start through disc channel when using Menu Patcher (black screen).


Hmmm ... could it be Menu Patcher not making it region free?

Strange - Super_Swing_Golf_PAL_WII-MOMENT (which is the euro version of Season 02) works fine with gamma (disc chan and through the loader itself), not tried it via the menu patcher.

I just remembered that I'd used WiiUR on the iso. I'll do a fresh clean burn and try again ...

**SSB could be bad disks as they are DVD+R DL which I have read have problems but I don't have any other DL's to try

Red Steel NTSC-U v0.3Gamma,

Has an auto reboot. Once you boot the game, it restarts to the Health and Warning screen where you click A.

So...it's non-working o.o

I know for a fact that Shaun White Snowboarding PAL 1:1 works just fine on an NTSC Wii, using Gamma with Force NTSC. Might wanna try reburning it.

Now that you mention it I guess I do remember reading that. I was just trying all options I guess. I tried Shaun White Snowboarding again and now it works. Not sure why it got hung up but oh well. Full color!

Did you install the gamma cIOS(rev7)? You know that this is the main difference between beta and gamma, and you can use the gamma cIOS with the beta launcher and SoftChip with the same compatibility as the gamma loader?

Super Smash Bros Brawl (DVD9 Version)

Read Error after first match.. I know it was stated that DVD9 might not work..
also I might have a bad burn, can anyone else confirm if game is broken
in Gamma?

DVD5 version seems to work fine, noticed that the cut scene to the second
fight repeats itself a few times, but this could be to video being ripped to
shrink down to a DVD5..

that was for the thread i had started......if we try and cover every possible mix of tv, console , location, cable etc....the list will be of little use as there are ways to use the loader to make the game work.

maybe meowayne will do his different, but i wanted a gamma loader combatibility list which is not green screen as far as i am aware of, but rather personal setup arrangement

for any green screen issues i have come across....tested over 120 games now.....none have remained....a change of disc...a change of region....forcing in another region...etc have cured all, rather than it being a problem with the loader.

but yes sure, i can admit that the loader may in fact cause the problem, but i have not not found one yet......

do you have some titles that are green screening and you are unable to get past?......maybe i could help.....

Nope, it's only Pangya for me right now ( haven't tried that many games yet ). I've tried it with all possible forced regions, all gave me a green screen. I've seen someone mention a new cIOS somewhere in this thread, there's a new one after the one that came with the 0.3b? would it make a difference if i'd install it?

Yep, works fine for me - played it for an hour yesterday evening and added it to the wiki in the early hours.

seems to be issues with super smash brother brawl dvd9 version the game loads fine but some video seem to cause disk read errors definitly because of the loader because it was playing fine with the beta version for the last week i have an ntsc wii and and ntsc dvd9 version of the game burn on a dvd-r

wario land shake it doenst work for me. Even when I force NTSC it stays at the green screen.

Star Wars Light Saber Duels locks up after the first level, and if using a difficulty level higher than beginner. The multi player and tutorial are fine. Tried all settings within launcher, no change.

Sam and Max Season 1 also doesn't run as already stated.

Yep, works fine for me - played it for an hour yesterday evening and added it to the wiki in the early hours.

Yes I can 2nd that works fine, PAL back up on PAL 3.3E Wii.
