*sigh* I probably sound like such a noob with this question, but when updating, it tells me to choose an IOS that it'll use to install with. Which one should I pick?

Since you're updating it, choose IOS249.

EDIT: saw longtom's post. IOS36 will only work if the bug was restored. If you didn't restore the bug for some reason (installed it with cboot2, etc.), it will fail.

testing it in the newest neogamma beta on a dual layer backup of smash bros in japanese. all the videos play fine, the drive sounds like it's dying though. The videos in single player are the problem parts right?

The intro movie when you start the game and don't press any button, that's the problem video.

Ok, other than the drive going, "WTF IS THIS?! *SKTITCH SKRITCH SKTITCH SKRITCH SKRITCH*" it's fine... you're the guy who determines if the cios is broken, is it broken?

theres sdhc an usb instrument support now?

this is a cios38. ios38 does not support usb instruments. ios37 and ios56 do. that's why there's hermes cios38merge37.
