This isn't really 'homework' in the most commonly used meaning of the word, but I couldn't find a better section to ask (or rather, demand) this.
Last year, I had to do an essay for Latin, about the Odyssey, and this year, I have to do one for maths, about conic sections. The problem is, we've never actually seen anything about it in class, so I'm at a dead end. I've already Googled around a bit and I've been able to write two pages so far, but I need ~20. Luckily, it only needs to be finished by the end of April next year, but I'd like to start now (and I have, obviously). What I'm asking for now is, if you know anything about conic sections (basics and advanced stuff), or if you know of a good website (books are good, too, but I need to be able to find them in Belgium, I can't be arsed to import one from another country), tell me about it. You'll be credited as a source.
Thanks in advance.
EDIT: Yeah, I've checked out Wikipedia already, in all languages I am capable of reading in [Dutch, English, French, German (lol, alphabet much?) and Japanese]. This also means that you can bring up any source in that language. Thanks for the help though Issac
