i recently bought a limited edition final fantasy psp off ebay (S+L), and was wondering if it is hackable, i know how the hacking process is all done, i was just wondering if the psp was compatible?

here is a pic of the box, and the seller tells me the psp is on FW 3.95

Open up the battery cover, take the battery out, and look at the date code. If it's 8B or below, it's hackable. Otherwise, no can do.

I'll go out on a limb and say yes definitely....given it's age you should be absolutely fine with the motherboard it contains. You just won't be able to make Pandora batteries via the soft-mod apps as the EEPROM write will be diabled.
