I really doubt that....
QUOTE(754boy @ Oct 20 2008, 09:20 PM) I got this burned but not about to play it. They are banning on sight with this one. My friend got hit with a ban earlier.

Well anyways is this the retail version? If so then i'll get it
What mistake?
The "fake" copy of Fallout 3 works fine.

illumina said:Haha, I love these people who come on here and say you'll get banned if you connect to live. Where do they get these stories, their friends aunt's dog's nephew? You will NOT get banned for playing this online, and certainly not "instant" ban. The game has been leaked in some stores already, so unless they have a way of telling if it's a legit copy or a burned copy(which they haven't been able to as of yet), you are fine. This can be said about every game for 360, as long as it's a retail copy.

I was gonna but had some car troubles last time I was home. May have to borrow mom's car and get this done!754boy said:beedog19 said:Damn, with all of these early releases I'm really starting to regret not flashing my 360 yet. Might be one of the first things I do when I get home next month.
Do it! It'll save you TONS of money and your friends will be jealous when you get releases early
Judging by your post, I'd say you and your friend are young. Your friend was probably temp banned for inappropriate behaviour, or something similar. There have been NO reports of people being banned for playing Gears 2 early besides yours. Microsoft only bans pirates in waves, not one at a time like you say. There hasn't been a wave in awhile, although people are indeed worried about this upcoming fall update. I have no doubt that your friend was banned, but I doubt that it was for playing Gears2 early.754boy said:Lol, keep thinking that. I watched with my own eyes a couple days ago when my friend's 360 was baned. We were playing Gears then boom, "Disconnected from Xbox Live" message appeared. Tried reconnecting a few times and eventually did a connection test, ban code in error report lol. I laughed.
Normally I'll play anything online no matter how early. Lol see some of my old posts boasting my huge pirate balls. But after seeing that happen, lol I don't wanna risk it. So I just been playing bot matches offline without my hdd attached

illumina said:Well, I apologize for my assumptions about you. All I know is that many many people have played Gears2 on live with no problems whatsoever.
Yes, 5.rc11982 said:Has anyone finished it yet??? How many Acts does it have? Is it 5 like GOW1?
