Hacking How To Make your own CSM

If i open ChanSel.ash with u8comp and save it with/without changes it corrupts it. I tried opening the file using this program and save it without any changes jsut to see if u8comp was causing the problem. I installed the .app file created with this new ChanSel.ash file and the wii menu comes up messed up. Has blue lines going across the screen.
If I can correct this I have found out how to change the color of the clock.

i think you have to open up a blyrt...
im not certain on the details.

Any tutorials yet on how to hex edit certain files to change their color? I wanna work on my black Wii theme too.

Ok real fast, shadows are controlled by seperate tpls. and for those images that transperancy doesn't work remember this one piece of advice, when making something transperant that the defauly color fails on "ALWAYS" use black as the color you are using for transperancy... the brlyts are not set up to handle other colors as transperancy in most tpls

Ok, so I tried editing my Disc Channel Images again, I used black as my transperancy color, selected RGB5A3 as my TPL type and selected the black background color, but now it also removes black from the inside of my disc images:



Anyone know how I can fix this? Oh, and has anyone released a tutorial yet on how to hex edit the color for certain images yet?

That would blow since my image has so many different hues of black. :/ Is there no updated version of TPL Converter that actually works in ignoring different colors? Or is it just based on the Wii only being able to ignore black and white for transparency?

Well I just used the Replace Color feature in Photoshop to change my black hue and that worked.

i understand the first post but, well i seem to not understand, i get to the point of unpacking the .app but i cant seem to uncompress .ash files and replace tpl files


also can someone provide links for all the tools needed? excluding the photoshop of course

Maybe you should use ECSM it's in my sig. ECSM is about the same as Batch-ASH but coded in AutoIt and with more features
