i cannon post pictures but the Pokegears radios dialog is messed up, example "snap"-"w........................-y.............w...............y.............r.................e.e...............
.....w" ect instead of the actual text

It's meant to be like that. It's like that in the US game too. Click the 4 buttons around the main circle to get the full text.

do i have to patch the jp rom with an AP patch before using the translation patch?

how to patch? (MUST READ!)
1. Get the Pokémon HG / SS ROM (Must be japanese!)
2. Download my patch files
3. Extract the files to an folder and place Pokémon HG / DD ROM in the SAME folder
4. Open xDelta GUI.exe
5. Click on 'Select patch' and browse for Pokémon HG.patch or Pokémon SS.patch
6. Click 'Select ROM' and browse for the Japanese Pokemon HG / SS ROM
7. Click 'Apply patch' and wait for it to finish (it might look like it isn't responding, just wait!)
8. Copy the rom: Pokémon HG / SS-patched.nds to your flashcard or play it with the emulator!
9 ALL DONE!

Well point 4. first there is just a xdelta file not a xDeltaGuifille, and when I click on it, for 1 second there opens a black window, but disappears right away.
I've downloaded your Original Patch, and the other one too, same problem.
Did I make something wrong?

OKAY, This is how to patch the rom.

Say you download the patch and the ROM and extract them both to Desktop/POKEMON

Open the delta GUI program, select the patch, select the rom, and hit PATCH

Then go back to the folder above, which is, in this case, DESKTOP,

and it will say something like REuploaded - PATCHED.NDS file or something similar.

Also..

The guy who posted above about the *snip post is genuine, not a troll. The patch works. Completely.

i patched it properly. the patched file is called xpa-phg_patched.nds

but a white screen comes when i open the game in my ds

Beh, I click 'Apply Patch' and it doesn't seem to do anything. Yes it's the (J) version, yes I have them in the same folder. I even tried running the GUI in XP SP3 compatibility mode.

Could it have something to do with the filenames? Or do I just have to wait for a couple of minutes?

but that means it still freezes on some flashcarts but thats maybe cuz he didnt get the ap fixed i use the cheat code to fix that up luckily jap one has cheat code that fixes tht
