So there's a girl at school that I kinda like, and every time I listen to "Hey Soul Sister" by Train I think of her

Now, she's gonna leave to college in a few weeks and probably never come back, so I really don't want to ruin our friendship by going "hey I love you" just before she leaves, specially because the other day she said explicitly that she did not want any romantic relationships for now. But if I don't kinda show her how I feel, I may regret it forever

So I was thinking of singing Hey Soul Sister to her, and going like "even if you leave you'll still be one of my best friends!!" but I'm scared that that song may be too much about "I love you and I never wanna lose you dammit!" rather than the "Thanks for everything, I'll never forget you

Hope you do well abroad!" that I'm looking for.

What am I supposed to dooo xD

Okay, how bad/decent are you at singing? This could possibly be really fucking cheesy if you do it bad. Just say what you're feeling, dude. Tell her how you feel and it'll be fine if she's into you. If not, how bad could it be?

Well I'm decent at the most xD and she isn't probably into me, I mean when she hugs me and talks to me and stuff I feel awesome and I "feel butterflies in my stomach" (not sure if people in the US use that expression, here we do xD) but she's like that with lots of people, not just me, so :'( That's why I'm looking for a not-so-romantic-but-still-cute song, not necessarily to sing it but to at least dedicate it to her

Singing someone elses song for her really doesn't have much of an effect. It'd probably just be awkward. Especially singing to a girl about to go to college.

I'd suggest a more subtle approach of just keeping in contact with her. That has a much less chance of failing outright.

I just really wanna tell her what I feel, but if I do it'll be just weird.

Specially because if something DID happen, it just wouldn't work. Sure, we like the same stuff and I love being with her, but I can't say she loves being with me... plus even though I'm taller than her I'm still younger and girls usually like older dudes so >_>

I hate it when the answer to a problem is just "you're screwed there's nothing to do"

Basically, it's either let the relationship as friends die due to lack of communication. Or, just tell her how you feel. Honestly, what do you have to lose at this point just being outright with it?

Yeah, I thought that since we'll neer meet again I have nothing to lose. But if I got rejected (which will probably be the case, although I wish I was wrong) it'd brake me too bad; when I'm awake I'm always thinking about the awesome time we'd had if we were together, and when I'm sleep I dream that she never leaves and I get to love her... I don't know whch will hurt more, shutting up and regreting it forever or losing a friend and regreting it forever.

Life is usually pretty awesome, but sometimes - just sometimes - it can suck really hard...

Never is a long time my friend. If she truly is a friend, Something like this won't kill a friendship. Go on, tell her. Maybe one day she will move back, or you'll move there, or some time you'll meet somewhere completely different, and you'll have the time of your life when you're together.

Believe me...it's much worse to think every damn day of your life of what could have been.

It will mean much more if you tell her in person. If you're afraid you will never see her again, then just tell her now.

Tell her in person, and do it quickly. College life can be pretty wild (here in the US anyway). If she's hot, she's likely going to be hooking up with someone within the first few weeks.

srsly dont sing her that modern day crap, i suggest Baby I love Your Way by Peter Frampton or a classic love song, as they dont suck as much as modern love songs.

Best not to live life with regrets. Get it off of your chest as soon as possible. If she doesn't want to date you, oh well. At least you'll know how she feels and can move on.
