Tomodachi life Update in 2024

I'm on the latest version of tomodachi life and have been able to play it without any problems. But just today I got this on my screen saying there's an update...what could this mean?

It just mean you are not on the latest and there is an update available.

Is the game in the same region as your eshop?

That error would happen if you installed like a US copy of the game and your eshop is in another region.

Not true. Updates could be issued after the closure of the eShop.

Ah, fair enough. I suppose they still could push out a new update if they wanted to, though I highly doubt its in their interest. Wait and see if anybody else has the same thing I guess.

I'm pretty sure it's a region thing as other people have said. There was some unfinished 3DS game, though, that slipped itself on to the eShop at the last minute because of the update loophole. I can't remember the name of it, but I always thought that was pretty funny.
