Yes! Well he said it wud be released withn the 28th! So jus be paticent. Shit it cud come out at 12 oclock. I wuz talkn to 1 of his friends on IRC and he told me alot of stuff. He told me he ran his last checks yesterday and now all he has to do is get his lazyass testers to test it out. After this it will be ready for release.

ssbb exploit comex is working on, supposedly.
I personally don't think either of these exploits will be released until bootmii beta is released(because unless a new HBC is released or you can downgrade using the exploit nothing can be done with the exploit).

The current HBC installer does NOT work on an original 4.0.

yes, exactly what I was thinking... but from what I've heard from beta testers in the irc, either bannerbomb does not work at all on a original 4.0 wii or the downgrade method that uses DVDx IOS35 to install cIOS does not work with bannerbomb.

Could it be used to install cIOS, then? From there you could also downgrade if it works.

Well you cannot use the HBC installer on an official virgin 4.0 Wii. You can however, use LoadMii and this guide: http://gbatemp.net/index.php?showtopic=146735 to downgrade to 3.2. This still however requires you to be able to run the homebrew (like bannerbomb or a channel spoof if you have your keys).
