Hacking What do I need to get Eternal Darkness working?

4.2u Softmodded Wii

Recently installed latest Waninoko cmios rev5 I think v4 using ios249

Tried Wii Gator's backup launchers the theta version and 2.0. tried every possible boot setting on both loaders

It's on a multidisc and it isn't shrunk along with Resident Evil 1.

I hear that it works so since I can't boot it up I must be missing something.

Are you sure the ISO you're starting with is NTSC-U and not PAL? The compatibility list is giving the PAL version failure across the board for US Wiis.

I think this game is one of the audio streaming games, and it's at least not possible to get the background music with softmods or a WODE.

Do you have other GC games working?

Try Wiigators 2.0 with backup launcher support use MIOSv4 as base Eternal should work just fine

well the place where I downloaded it from said it was NTSC but when I boot the launcher channel it says it's PAL

My other GC backups work fine except Luigi's Mansion which sometimes doesn't read and Starfox Adventures which won't work past the main menu.

Oh well I'll try to find the retail copy at some point and just borrow my brothers copy since he doesn't even play it.

not an audio streaming game. i've completed the us-ntsc on a us console.

only bug is a freeze on the game over screen. no big deal, just reload your last save or don't die.

yes its an audio streaming game, yes softmods can't play it, yes most modchip users can't play it. i just bought the game to be able to play it, its worth it.

I think you can play it, but you just don't get the background music then.

Burn it to a single disc... not to a multi-game disc.
