Just thought I would share a shell script that uses RetroArchs AppImage to launch RetroArch games. You don't need to install RA, or configure more than installing the cores you prefer to use and simply launch the shell script.


As for controls simply run the shell script. Once running hit F1 to open the quick menu and then input.

Here's a game to see how it works. Oh you need to put the zip file in a folder called Roms in the appImage directory.



AppImage must be run from your $HOME/downloads folder

Update: Just to be clear, you need to extract and run the AppImage from your /home/username/Downloads folder. In the RetroArch folder that appears in your Downloads folder, (where the cores folder is) you need to create another folder called roms (must be lowercase) and do NOT PUT THE roms FOLDER IN THE cores FOLDER! The roms folder goes in the same folder as the rest of the RetroArch folders (same folder as the cores folder, NOT inside the cores folder)
