Hardware wii SD card reader broken?

HI. so i went to a friends house late last night. he had just got a wii this week ,and just got warioware today after he played at my house last night.
so thinking i could just copy my warioware save to an sd card and bring it over to his place to play darts right away..... plug it inot his wii, go into data management and there wasn't even the SD 'tab'... i checked the sd card and it worked in photo channel, but i had no option to copy to or from the sd card in the data management screen. i am really confused because ive downloaded 4-5 saves onto my wii no problem.

please any idea? thanks

Might I suggest a FW upgrade?

He doesn't have the good firmware. The SD data manager only comes after the first update.

GREAT!!! it all makes sense now. he told me he didn't hook up the wii to his router yet! thanks for clearing it up
