WTF Dragon Ball Edition

I love Dragon Ball (and Z and GT), so I've been buying the FUNimation remastered box sets. Basically, I've had a ton of problems with them, and had to return 5 sets so far due to skipping or freezing up. I never buy DVD's so I thought this may be typical, and since I've bought 87 total discs (they're 5 or 6 in a set, and two or three for the movies) I guess there's bound to be problems.

But this is unforgivable. I bought season two of Dragon Ball a few months back when it came out, but didn't get around to watching it, and now I see that they gave me two disc 2's and no disc 4's. Now I have to argue with the bitch at Best Buy to give me a refund past the 30-day period, which they'll do after a half-hour of scolding you.

tl;dr FUNimation's manufacturers and Best Buy suck.

That's awful to hear. I personally have a few animu dvds (Like 3 or 4) and never really had any problems with them.

Just goes to show you how awful it is to purchase things.

Yep, with thirty seconds and a dial-up connection, you can find a million links to Dragon Ball downloads, but I like the series (and this dub) enough to shell out the cash and get screwed

It's not, I tried it on my computer's two DVD drives (my main DVD player), a hacked Wii, and a standalone DVD player, all of which produced the same stuttering/freezing in the same places.

Wow, that sucks.

I've never really got interested in DragonBall. I guess I'm just too young to grasp it. Do they sell a BluRay version of the set?

I think they have a few of the movies out on Blu-ray (for this dub), but not the series (though I'm not sure). Also, Dragon Ball Kai, a condensed version of the DBZ anime (that's more like the manga series) will be released on blu-ray starting in May (it's also being aired on Nickelodeon if you'd rather catch it there). I wouldn't say it's for everyone, if you don't like anime for example, it won't change your mind, but it's certainly more accessible than other series, I'd think.
