Hacking Gateway 3DS Compatibility List [Updated Apr 5, 2014]

Updated for Gateway 2.1 Omega. The biggest change is in ROM compatibility, with 2.1 Omega supporting all ROMs, including NANDsave ones like Pokemon X/Y and eShop game dumps like Phoenix Wright. Can a mod please change the title to: "Gateway 3DS Compatibility List [Updated Apr 5, 2013]" -- thanks!

Hacking Gateway 3DS Compatibility List [Updated Apr 5, 2014]

Updated the OP with 7.1 emuNAND and Gateway 2.0b2 compatibility details. Also added a quick guide at the top to display the current status of hackable firmwares. Cyan, do you mind changing the title again to say "Gateway 3DS Compatibility List [Updated Dec 27, 2013]"? Thanks!

    Hacking What would you sell...

Actually I sold my Zelda code for $35 on eBay. We're computing fair market value for your product, i.e. what the next person would have to net pay in order to get what you're offering (4.1 3DS XL + Gateway), which my reasoning is entirely sound. Thanks for the entertainment though

Don't think anything I said was "imagined as an example" or a "theory". Check eBay + the link I posted above for factual proof. hy·po·thet·i·cal adjective\ˌhī-pə-ˈthe-ti-kəl\ : involving or based on a suggested idea or theory : involving or based on a hypothesis : not real : imagined as an...

    Hacking What would you sell...

Yes, take a look at the thread on where to get <=4.5 consoles in this forum. Any serial number that starts with SW12 will be a <=4.5 console, which means you can guarantee it before buying. If you're "telling me" the price, then use that as your fair price. Just because it's listed at $270 on...

    Hacking What would you sell...

Not hypothetical my friend. Just stating the facts. If they go for more in your country and you seem to have a grasp on what their value is, why even bother ask what we think the fair price is? The analysis is based off of USA's price, adjust it accordingly to however your country does the...

Buddy, Zelda 3DS XL's are going for $200-220 on eBay. Take out the game (which is going for $30+ on eBay), and you get $170 for just the 3DS XL on eBay. Retail you can get it for $135. Here, worst case there is no download code, you can add another $30 to your price, and you get $205 fair price.

    Hacking What would you sell...

$150 + 10% special promo discount on all purchases because of Target's recent credit card leak = $135.

    Hacking What would you sell...

I'd say around $175 is fair. You can get the Gateway for $68 shipped from some places, and <=4.5 3DS XL's are still in the wild, which means you can pick up a 3DS XL bundle (with a game) for $135 today at Target. The game download code can be sold for about $30 on eBay, so the total comes out...

Hacking Gateway 3DS Compatibility List [Updated Apr 5, 2014]

I'm unable to edit the subject line to update the date. Cyan, can you, or another mod, update it so that it says: "Gateway 3DS Compatibility List [Updated Dec 16, 2013]" (without the quotes)? Much appreciated!

Great, glad we got that tested and confirmed. I updated the initial post with the new ROM compatibility info w/ emuNAND 7.0.

Hacking Gateway 3DS Compatibility List [Updated Apr 5, 2014]

Maybe emuNAND 7.0 + Gateway 2.0b1 can still play SDK 5.x ROMs, but the region-free patch doesn't work? That seems to be consistent so far, we just need one person to report this for a USA model.

@Xdqwerty, Yeah, I'd recommend having another OS just in-case you want to play games.

At least Linux doesn't contain spyware than what Windows has.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    @SylverReZ, cuz of lag?
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, No. Whenever you use the internet on Windows, Microsoft collects personal data and installs bloatware that isn't necessarily needed, such as Edge.

I recall @impeeza mentioned some trick about not having bloatware when installing windows where you set up your country to "world" or smh like that

  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
Yes, you can debloat the operating system, but in some cases for me it just reinstalls them.

@Xdqwerty yes, when you are installing Windows on the first steps you are asked for your current location, you MUST to select «international» so no bloatware is installed, because the bloatware is location based. if this night I have some time I will setup a VM and take screenshots.
