Zip; all compression levels: fast, normal, ultra. Deflate and Deflate.64 types. None of the options were successful.

Too bad, because tables.pak gives the biggest scope for modding the game.

Open both original switch pak and new pak with 7-zip, show me what you see first when you open those files, then go to Info menu and show me how many files each pak has.

Done. Info differs only in packed size and physical size respectively. Besides, unmodified file has characteristic : "Unsorted_CD" in file properties

This is a MUST HAVE MOD (BOW RETICLE):

(click the image to see well the middle reticle). It's stupid that the game has a reticle but as soon as you equip bow it's gone...

I have added below 2 versions of it, one is direct from PC it only has 1 single line in the user.cfg and added a 2nd one with the user.cfg I took from the game update but I don't know if the data inside will be the same as for you, anyway both work fine and the data inside the switch user.cfg seems kinda irrelevant for me.

This is what's inside the game latest update user.cfg:

4. Pack all unpacked ui.pak files and folders to new ZIP, rename just generated archive back to ui.pak

6. Launch game

You may need to use nxdumptool to extraxt the romfs data...I use nxdumptool

Check your ui.pak mod, you must pack all files correctly. Use original ui.pak to compare with

LOL, the mod I posted is already fully ready with the right folders, don't need to do anything at all...

My self I'm using the PC config one and 0 issues so far with it...

Nowhere. As I said, any additional PAK is not detected. And I cannot debug this for next weeks because for some reason GDBstub refuses working with my phone hotspot.


1. Unpack ui.pak with my scripts
2. Unpack pak file from mod with 7-zip
3. Copy unpacked files from mod's pak and paste them to unpacked ui.pak files, replacing original ones
4. Pack all unpacked ui.pak files and folders to new ZIP, rename just generated archive back to ui.pak
5. Put new ui.pak to atmosphere/contents/0100650018FE0000/romfs/data
6. Launch game

You can find my script that perfectly fine unpacks whole PAK here:

Tested with Python 3.10
You must download "Unpack_PAK.py", "zipfileKC.py" and "Oodle.exe".
in cmd you must use

python Unpack_PAK.py [pak_file] [folder_out]
For example
