  • God damn Yu-Gi-Oh Nightmare Troubadour lives up to its namesake. Early game is absolutely miserable with the deck it gives you.
I am really struggling for words after seeing what the UK's PM has said today. For the first time I almost posted a thread in the Politics section.

Goddamnit - why give up on rail? So much better than bloody cars; we could ALL benefit from investing in rail. UK, US, AUS - all of us could.

My guess is honestly that the tories will be destroyed in the polls next year, and they don't want hs2 to be seen as a labour win if it were completed during a labour government

A bit like Hitler ordering all the bridges and infrastructure destroyed as the allies were closing in on Berlin - if I can't have it no one can

I just had to snap a £300 headset into pieces as a part of the RMA process and my God does it feel wrong. Also just so so wasteful when the only issue is a temperamental mute button.

Definitely keeping the broken headset to hand in case I ever need to RMA the new one. It's annoying because I do want the fault fixed, but I certainly could've just had it as a backup.

So stoked that I actually got an Analogue Pocket! Given the screen, I’m excited to play more GB(C) rom hacks. Just can’t get into them on wide screens when they fill maybe half of it.
Gonna try to buy the red Analogue Pocket when it goes live later today…… not holding my breath but fingers crossed!
sooooo... anybody know some decent tactile switches that aren't horridly expensive? got a keyboard I've been meaning to build for months and I just got around to ordering keycaps for it
I never put much stock into Microsoft Store apps, but I do have a newfound appreciation using them with the Ally. Even for stuff like the streaming apps, the touch optimised menus just make for a good experience.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite is such a miserable game, what on Earth do people see in it? I can acknowledge it was good for its time, but I see no reason to play it over 3U or GU.
    so when are 2tb micro sds dropping, the 1tb one in my switch is full ;_;

good grief, considering how small switch games are compared to most modern releases how tf do you fill all that space. I have a 1tb and am half tempted to uninstall some games just because it's annoying scrolling through so much to look for a game to play with friends

I just downloaded all my games lol. My Switch has minced this card though. For some reason it won’t be recognised on Windows at all, though functions perfectly in the Switch. Makes moving screenshots such a pain.
man I really want AR to get good fast. I have to wear glasses anyway, they may as well do cool stuff too

Most definitely got a 2tb 2230 in mine going to do a 500gb windows dual boot eventually just last time I had dual boot a update bricked it lol. People keep griping about the size but it's actually a great feel to lay in bed and fall asleep to. None have honestly really made me we want to buy other Chinese handhelds. Lol for some reason can't get my SD card to install batocera tho.

Steam Deck is a great size for holding, but it's a pain for transporting in my experience. I loved the AYANEO 2 for just how premium it all felt. The Ally is a different beast entirely, I think I just really like the screen lol

Yeah people just forget that the deck is level entry and since Valve is more mainstream it gets more attention then people loose it when they see specs and the actual cost of device. 60hz and 30fps is still smooth regardless of build the extra power is just more beneficiary per dollar. Too bad Sony lost their minds had such a good chance to drop a vita 2 like device.

  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They haslve dedicated on board chips that aren't tweaked like x64/x32 afaik
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
but its a custom os for both of them
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
    designed for only specific hardware
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
so you have to learn to emulate that specific hardware which isn't as easy as you'd think
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
It's a locked down Linux distro basically
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think the only custom hardware is to do with the SSD and a security chip
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Probably combined in one chip
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
They place married security chips onto boards iirc
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Damn Frontier is offering 5Gbps now lol
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I honestly can't recommend any of the big 3 this years I'd say buy a rog ally z1 if we're being honest
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Honestly after the PS3 and 360 I just went full PC
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Every games basically cross platform they only have about 6 titles making it worth the $600 price tag
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Didn't see much need for a console, all the advantages have kind of disappeared
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
the ps3 used to support installing linux because the cpu was so powerful
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Then the games are $70 and they want to reboot and refresh the same game every year
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
The ps3 was always Linux they just found a way to make it open source
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
I'm avoiding buying from the big 3 at all atm
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
At one point PC game pads where poorly supported, loading a game had setup, it was complicated. Now it's almost as easy as a console.
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
nintendo needs to up their game soon
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah even bt support for Xbox one controllers are just as easy as pairing
    +1
  • ColdBlitz @ ColdBlitz:
considering the steamdeck can emulate the switch (yikes) theres almost 0 reason to buy the switch apart from playing online and using cartridges
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Xinput and 360 dongles were a driver nightmare
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I remember having to manually put in drivers and what not
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    Yeah the 360 dongles sucked
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
But the new Xbox pads? PIr it up and if a game supports it it just works
