Hardware 2DS randomly started turning on but the screen is very very dark and can only be seen in a dark room.

Started today and I've tried disassembly and removing and plugging in the ribbons again but to no avail!

looks like there's an issue with your backlight.

That's definitely not backlight. It looks more like panel voltage is bad.

Is this water damage? Check PMIC/MCU area, especially since it randomly turns on, definitely sounds like water damage.
