Atmosphere 0.19.3 released, adds support for Switch OFW 12.0.2

aaaa.png

Just as promised, a new update for the legendary Nintendo Switch CFW Atmosphere has been released, giving users support for the latest Switch firmware--12.0.2. There's not much new beyond compatibility, but there are a few stability tweaks and minor bugfixes involving crashes with erpt and dns.mitm. As always, you can get the latest release from the project's GitHub and make sure your hacked Switch is primed and ready to go.

  • Support was added for 12.0.2.
  • A number of minor issues were fixed, including:
    • An issue was fixed in dns.mitm that caused a crash when games attempted to resolve the IP address of nullptr.
    • An issue was fixed in erpt that would cause an abort when booting without having ever booted stock previously.
    • An issue was fixed in (file-based) emummc that caused an error on system format/downloading certain games.
  • General system stability improvements to enhance the user's experience.

5. SXOS users brag about how they are still on an outdated OFW for some reason
Still trying to figure out why this matters at all?

100% of games work on the current "outdated" firmware. What reason do you need to be on the latest for? There's exactly 0 features it has other than 15 layers of Nintendo stability.

Every time a switch update happens, the same things happen in this order:
1)crazynoob asks for themes
2)people make unfunny stability jokes
3)a bunch of people claim to "accidentally" update their switches
4) new atmos update
5) sxos users brag about having sx os

Obviously Team Executor will update only when it's needed, in between visits to jail.

Probabtion officer: Your time will be converted to probation if you promise to stop hacking all together
Team Xecuter: But, Switch firmware 12 has been out for awhile and people on the internet have been talking shi...
Probation officer: back to jail for you

I don't think that's worth an update though. Lol optional

Really should hack my Switch already... I wish I was less paranoid about breaking it..

If you're careful and follow the instructions you won't brick or break anything.

Hi,

I have a switch lite with sx lite and its flashed with spacecraft nx.
Now i today updated via daybreak to 12.0.2.
Also updated atmosphere to 0.19.3,then updated sigpatches.
copied fusee primary.bin to root of my sdcard and renamed to payload.bin.
Result,switch boots with fatal error,program id 0100000000...4
Error Desc:std:abort() called (0xffe)
What could this be?,nothing changed on the config, except updated.
If i boot without sdcard i get the no sdcart from space nx,so chip is fine.
Also no problems in daybreak, just rebooted after the update was finished.

Did you have a theme installed? If so, delete that 010000000 folder from atmosphere/contents

Ok,just formatted to exfat, and its working fine,so i know the problem already,i used fat32 in 12.0.1,now i choosed fat32-exfat,think there is the problem maybe, gona try something..

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

gona reflash, but this time only choose fat32,and see if it then boots with the fat32 formatted sdcard.
Ok,problem solved, but its strange,if you choose fat32-exfat with daybreak, you could use sdcards formatted in fat32 or exfat,if you choose fat32 only, you can't use exfat formatted sdcards, seems that feature isnt working then??

I am staying with 11.0.0 via 3.0.0 using daybreak.

No needed for 12.0.2 at all. No games interested me anyway.

So I am fine but I will update to Atmosphere 0.19.3 and the latest sigpatch, thought.

This. Even Pokemon Snap works on 11.0. Most updates at this point on the switch are going to be "stability" scams. Switch is way too far into its lifecycle to consider developing new libraries/API's for. Kinda like how the PS4 updates have been a sham for the most part, all the titles work on 5.05.
