DSOne SD Error 0004

Hey all,

I received my DSOne from AliExpress yesterday.
The good news is that the PSRAM is working fine.
The bad news is that whatever I do, the thing will always throw out SD error 0004.
I tried a 4GB, 32GB and 128GB micro SD card, all formatted with the SD Association Formatter Tool to FAT32 - no dice.
Even without a micro SD card inserted, the error stays the same.

Unfortunately I don't know what error 0004 means, but I know that it would throw an error 0001, on a working DSOne, if no micro SD card insterted.

So something must be wrong with the SD slot?
Did anyone ever encounter this issue before and maybe knows a solution?
I'm pretty sure the cart is dead but I wanted to try my luck here before I give up.
I also notified the seller already.

    Usually when such a big title leaks the Temp will be the first to report about it (going off of historical reports here, Pokemon SV being the latest one I can recall seeing pop up here)

    I want a 120hz 4k tv but crazy how more expensive the 120hz over the 60hz are. Or even more crazy is the price of 8k's.

    I stream from Nas to firestick, one on every tv, and use Kodi. I'm happy w it, plays everything. (I pirate/torrent shows/movies on pc, and put on nas)

    I got my Dad a firestick for Xmas and showed him those 3rd party sites on Kodi, he loves it, all he watches anymore. He said he has got 3 letters from AT&T already about pirating, but he says f them, let them shut my internet off (He wants out of his AT&T contract anyways)
