Thank you master you are excellent I love how it looks when I use the pixel perfect option even looks better but leaves left and right grey colour bars very ugly, is there a way to make the background black? Thank you so much , btw I read the previous posts and people replace the background image but in my case I only want black thank you
I did it in the end yeahhh but does not look centered one. Black bar is thicker than the other one maybe at this point is too much asking looll

hmm pixel perfect might require a different setting, sorry I don't really play with widescreen much.. I use normal settings with overlay.

As for no background:
\romfs\bootapp\resources\scenes\sys\sysmain.scn

Change "Enabled" & "Visible" to False under this part just right below "Background", and before "TextureComponent"

All finally working fantastic there is only one thing I realized after all changes when using the widescreen settings in games like super Mario world or Yoshi the right side of thes look like a little mirroring is that normal?

if you use pixel perfect, you will have to figure out your own values, sorry at this point I cannot help you as I don't know.

Oh understand, anyway the result is so good, I would like to to do it a little less widescreen maybe leave 0.6mm left and right black bar while playing using 4:3 , which value I need to modified for do that?
sysmain.scn:
pivot":[0.486,0.374]
uvRepeat":[1.025,1.37]

Thank you again for all your efforts!!

Sorry I do not know.....:cry:

You will need to experiment, these 3 values affect the image:

sysmain.scn:
pivot":[0.486,0.374]
uvRepeat":[1.025,1.37]

displayresolutionmanager.lua:
00 F8 3F

It would be nice to leave black bar left Maybe just 6mm and black bar right 6mm so it doesn't look that big with widescreen and some games look bad, I tried to edit the pivot values thinking can add some black on left and right and even my SNES online crashed... I hope someone can tell us. Thanks anyway

I would like to know what the pivot number means and the uvrepeat number means in order to test it and make little right side and left side black bars thanks

Looks amazing, anyway to do the same with the snes nso? Could you share the file I would really appreciate it thanks maaan
I didn't mod NES/SNES Pixelperfect because the two have the horizontally narrower image unlike the Genesis which are wider, but later I can post.

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you can use any bar/sprite. It will just change the width. Ok good luck and have fun. I'm off to go shoot some pool at the bar. Talk to you later.

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, why does the health behavior exist if you can just use a variable?
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
and nope the number still doesnt change
