I recently downloaded MPlayer CE 0.7 and am having some odd issues with the cIOS installer. I installed it and it wouldn't recognize my USB HDD, though other USB2.0 capable homebrew did. When I tried reinstalling it I noticed it was only taking IOS36 files from my SD Card instead of downloading IOS60 as well.

This is the installer I used, mind you: http://code.google.com/p/mplayer-ce/downloads/list

You see, on the Google Code page for the installer says it's based off of IOS60 and the one provided on their google page seems to be based entirely off of IOS36. I'm thinking someone from the project might have uploaded the wrong version or something, as the most recent upload was a few days ago while 0.7 was last updated on the 13th of July. Does anyone have a copy of the proper installer?

PS: I did try running the USB test dol to see if my drive was incompatible, but since I apparently have the wrong version of IOS202 it doesn't work.

hey, that installer has been modified with some checks that's all, have you actually installed it? you need to make sure it says install complete, as it will error if not and return to HBC and you wouldn't realise it's failed. Anyway make sure it's instaled, select an IOS like 249 or IOS36 to install it as they will usually have fakesign. once installed, run the test.dol if it says your'e device is 100% compatible then it should hopefully work in 0.7, make sure you have your'e device with a fat32 partition, in 0.71 it doesn't matter about being primary etc, libfat will search all partition till it finds a fat one.

And whilst you try 0.7 insert usb whilst in mplayer, try pressing wii usb a few times no look?
power wii off, insert usb, power on, load mplayer, wi usb? no look? double check you have a fat partition active/primary or wait for 0.71

I have already ran that installer and the IOS did indeed install itself. But like I said it was based entirely off of IOS36 and wasn't working in 0.7. I tested this by putting only the necessary files for the installer on my card as outlined in this guide:
http://www.tehskeen.com/forums/showthread....62838#post62838

After it found the four parts of IOS36 on my card it tried to download the rest of the IOS (which it shouldn't have been doing) and code dumped after it failed to initialize my network connection.

When I let it install with all of IOS36 on my card it worked just fine with FreeSpace 2 Wii.

And someone just gave me the proper installer and this time it worked properly AND it downloaded both the four parts of IOS36 and IOS60 in the patching process. Therefore I'm pretty sure the one on the google code page is there by mistake.
