Hacking Update Wii Shop Channel?

Hello.
I have Wii Menu v4.2e and I have installed the homebrew channel.
Will it be okay to update the Wii Shop Channel through Nintendo?
Or is there another app I can use on the Homebrew Channel?

Just download the shop channel v18 wad via NUSD and install it with wad manager. Do not update officially.

or google for shop channel updater v18.

I have 4.1U. I did what GodLike up there just said.

So I can now use the shop channel and Nintendo channel when I'm still on 4.1U!

And from what I've heard, yes it does work on 4.2x as well.

Just letting you know what I have done.
