anybody an idea, why all the USB-loaders on my PAL-Wii in 480i-Mode
become a red-shiny screen while they lookeing for an usb-disk ?

ever when the gui ist started all seems to be fine in normal colors,
but when the Wii is mounting then WBFS and count downwards from 40 Sec,
it immediately become red, like an NTSC-Game

(in standard mode (576p ?) all colours are ok

I looked into the sources of different laoders, but didn´t found any clue....

why doesnt this happen with the origin Waninoko USB-Loader 1.1 ?????

is it the force-ntsc-option and a proc in the modded source ?

has anybody a tip ?

If you're TV is able to accept S-Video over RGB, then try to fiddle with the TVs input settings. Then you also could play NTSC-Games without switching cords or forcing modes.

wish you good luck.

I'm able to get a coloured image with my Japanese Wii and the RGB-SCART lead (same as you have, European Version), btw, my TV is a Grundig.

i changed the scart from ext1 to ext2 on my CRT-TV and the problem is gone with the wind ,
but there is less sharpness on this input

i guess your ext2 doesn't support rgb instead it supports svideo and composite. both modes have less quality than rgb has. i would stick with ext1 and rgb and live with the red picture on usb mount.

maybe someone can take a look at this and implement a proper vidoemode during usb mount. wiipower would be my first choice, if i was looking for someone to fix this.

that was not the problem. the problem is that the video output during usb mount is svideo. only in the process of detecting and mounting the usb drive the screen turns red. afterwards it's perfect again.

Do you have a surge protector or an UPS?
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea but to play the next gen games, you must have those games on internal, or buy the official ssd expansion cards, which are expensive
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, dunno what each one of those are
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, my PS3 was already modded when my dad bought it for me and my brother
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
A surge protector is a device that protects your electronics from fluctuations. I recommend having your console plugged into one of those
  • MysticStarlight @ MysticStarlight:
An UPS is even better because it has an internal battery that keeps your system on even if the power goes out, but it's much more expensive obviously
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, oh i recall seeing one in some in the houses of some relatives, including my dad's apartment
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@MysticStarlight, although whatever device we plug into them stops getting power anyways lol

    that's weird

On the series s/x you can use a external HD but any next gen games must be on your internal ssd, or you can buy a ssd expansion card, but pricey. Any xbone, 360, or og Xbox games can be played from external tho.
