Why the hell does it have to be Chris Pratt?

He did Mario and now Garfield. I was honestly hoping it'd be Bill Murray and if it were, I'd watch for Murray, but Pratt again? Screw that.

I'll watch it. Just thinking aloud here, but Garfield having a I Hate Mondays cup is a pretty silly concept. Cats sleep all day long, 7 days a week. What difference does it make if it's Monday?

Chris Pratt doesn't exactly have a bad voice for Garfield, but I feel like it lacks a certain "grumpiness." Like TMNT, Garfield's had enough reboots that I'm numb to whatever they do. I do feel like Garfield needs no introduction and therefore no origin story. Put him right in the action. That's just my opinion, though.

The scenario is compatible with plenty of ideas, but Garfield's kind of like Sonic: The more characters, the worse it all gets.

I had to look up the release date. It's 5/24, so I imagine many eyes have already beheld the film's magnificence.

Listen, the trailer had "Binky O's" in it, showing that someone somewhere on the production staff had seen a Garfield & Friends episode before/during production. Seriously is it possible this movie's some random idea stapled to the Garfield license?

I'm disappointed with my generation. We were going to grow up and make lore-respecting movies and shows. Take it to the next level. The best we can manage is the Super Mario Bros. Movie, which as @The Catboy pointed out is just plain mid.
