isnt the nplayer a clone/remake of the r4??? cos it has the same things on back and its made by som of real r4 team so it would make a real update so why not just use that?

i just use a dualboot and use ysmenu 10.21 for hulk, sonic chronicles and wall-e. i love my R4! (original R4)

no.
the nplayer is a clone of the R4 and the N5 is the clone of an R4. and it's "which", not "with"

In the new version of NPlayer (3.04), don't work any language version, including English.
Appear the error "This is a Fake!!".

Who knows how to quit that text to boot the firmware? (like hex editing or something?)

Yes, appear that purple screen with "This is Fake!!" text, and you can't do nothing.

It'll need some kind of hack to work then I'm guessing, I doubt anyone will do it though cos it's not really worth the effort.

yeah all the latest firmwares for clones are coming up with the "this is fake" error message. maybe we need an updated R4crypt?? who knows..

not mine, i bought an original R4 DS but the latest clone firmwares give that error message. at least ysmenu works!

I uploaded the necesary files to convert clone firmwares to R4 compatible one (but, don't work with new ones), if somebody wants to test and can help fix that "This is Fake" screen.

thats exactly what ive been doing! ive tested all clone firmwares so far from N5 (1.24), ND1 (3.05), NPlayer (3.04), R4-III (3.05), R4 SDHC (1.23).. they all have the "this is fake!!" error. would be nice to figure out how to crack one of these so it supports the latest games. Before anyone says "why dont you just use YSMenu" well i agree, ysmenu supports it all and i use it too. but im bored and gives me something to do, lol!

dosent nplayer have another file like _AX_MENU.DAT for n5

I tested R4Pro, and didn't work too. Show a black screen while booting.
Can be, because the _DS_MENU.DAT have a small size? (about 500kb and others have like 1.35mb).
And also i put the folder "resource" in _system_ folder, like the .rar file do.
