hello, all, scarfish and wiipower,

I have a LU64 with official SM4.0, bootmii has been installed as IOS254 and cIOS38 rev13b has been installed as IOS249. Now I want to run IOS36 patcher or TBR in HBC and use IOS249, so

1. if I use IOS36 patcher, should I install LU64.wad first?

2. if I use TBR, should I downgrade IOS15 first, or just go into IOS36 menu and run IOS36 fix?

Thanks a lot!

1. No, just run IOS36 Patcher and choose to use IOS249. Lu64.wad is cIOS rev11 and since you have rev13b there is no need for this to be installed.

2. No, just fix IOS36

I don't know how stable/mature TBR is atm but I would use TBR since it fixes more in IOS36 thanIOS36 Patcher and they both allow you to install Preloader.

Seeing that it's an offline option and ios36.wad at root of SD:\ is great.

But, what benefits do you get with TBR over IOS36Patcher?

I mean, my case, all I need this IOS36 is for WAD Installing with WAD Manager, Installing cIOS and Preloader on LU64.

Is there anything I'm missing here?

What about this IOS15? is this safe on LU64, and what benefits do we have?

Thanks all for your support and brew.

My TBR should be already safe to use. The IOS15 downgrade works on boot2v4 Wiis to(at least i got 1 confirmation).

And the TBR allows to choose which patches to use, where to install, runs off ALL IOS(maybe except IOS4) and cBoot2.

Ive done this:
- downgrade IOS15
- menu IOS36: install 36 bug fix in 36
- run ATD
- remove IOS36
- install IOS36v1042 using wad manager (IOS15 as firmware)
ps: i've done this only of testing purpose and i've bootmii as boot2, don't try this without need and don't "play" with ATD

Dont you get the error at the ES_Identify step?

Are you 100% sure that you are running latest IOS36 (v3094) and that is patched with this?
Yeah I had v3094 (manually updated all IOS / systemmenu for testing purpose)

Yeah I had v3094 (manually updated all IOS / systemmenu for testing purpose)

And you don't get the error at that step (almost the bottom of the screen)?

WiiPower, do you know why ATD keeps getting the error in the ES_Identify part even after I patched the IOS36 with your TBR and selected to apply all the patches to it?
