Yeah, I noticed. I updated R4YSauto, AK2YSauto and TTYSauto as well. The new versions will be uploaded in a few seconds, the download link remains the same.eubep said:YSMenu just got updated

You can't download Ysmenu from Yasu's website using an external link and he doesn't like people mirroring it elsewhere, so that's why downloading Ysmenu isn't an option.Narin said:Hmm, how about using wget (An open source, command like application, very tiny) to download the latest version of YSmenu from the site as well as the latest cheat file so the user doesn't have to manually? It would be very simple to do and make the whole process more automated.
wget http://cheats.gbatemp.net/latest/USRCHEAT.DAT.zip
wget http://yasu.rank.nu/yasu/count.cgi?n=YSMEN...u0810211800.zip
And then extract the files as needed. I was tempted to add these modifications in myself and send it over to you but I haven't had the time.
Well, it works for me ;pMinox_IX said:You can't download Ysmenu from Yasu's website using an external link and he doesn't like people mirroring it elsewhere, so that's why downloading Ysmenu isn't an option.Narin said:Hmm, how about using wget (An open source, command like application, very tiny) to download the latest version of YSmenu from the site as well as the latest cheat file so the user doesn't have to manually? Guess I was wrong then. Well, I'm glad to be corrected, this could make things much easier.Narin said:Well, it works for me ;pMinox_IX said:You can't download Ysmenu from Yasu's website using an external link and he doesn't like people mirroring it elsewhere, so that's why downloading Ysmenu isn't an option.Narin said:Hmm, how about using wget (An open source, command like application, very tiny) to download the latest version of YSmenu from the site as well as the latest cheat file so the user doesn't have to manually? Yes, I've been thinking about that as well. Downloading YSMenu is not really an option; Yasu probably won't like that. Downloading the cheat database might be an option. After all, it's pretty easy to add this. In the next version (the one with the GUI) I'll see if I can put an option in it to check for a new version of the cheat database. I should be an option though; people without an internet connection or with some kind of data limit should be able to use R4YSauto as well.Narin said:Maikel Steneker said:Yeah, I noticed. Yes, as long as you don't use some kind of R4 clone that can't use the original R4 firmware, like the N5.ZeroEXE93 said:So this can work as firmware right? Just checking.
Thanks, but what do I do now?Maikel Steneker said:Yes, as long as you don't use some kind of R4 clone that can't use the original R4 firmware, like the N5.ZeroEXE93 said:So this can work as firmware right? Just checking.
You don't need _DS_MENU.DAT and the _system_-folder from your SD-card anymore. Instead, copy the files from R4_custom_English to your SD-card. That's about itZeroEXE93 said:Thanks, but what do I do now?Maikel Steneker said:Yes, as long as you don't use some kind of R4 clone that can't use the original R4 firmware, like the N5.ZeroEXE93 said:So this can work as firmware right? I downloaded the newest YSMenu update and this program and it created the R4_custom_English folder. Anything specific I should do with the content inside it? Also, should I delete the current _system_ folder and the two _DS_MENU files from my R4?
You don't need it anymore, you don't need to keep it unless you want to use it again instead of YSMenu. But you could always redownload it if you'd want to do that.ZeroEXE93 said:What about the _DS_Menu system file? Should I keep that?
Sorry, new at this stuff (kinda)
