Using a Supercard SD you can't save this game normally (the save fails), but save states work. Very strange....
With the previous 2 episodes there was no problem. How come? What is technically different about the third title compared to the previous ones? Does it use a different save format?

Update: If others should have the same problem, I solved it by sram patching the rom via Gbata.

Sooo, just finished playing through day 1. Noticed some leftover text not translated (iirc it was the chief and the cat lady, as well as one of the reminder prompts when you try to exit or go the other way) is that intentional or not? If so then ignore this question

So how is the progress going on with the translation?
I know I am going to be told to go on the Discord group but I don't feel like going on it.
Just want to know how far they are into it at this point.

Go check the discord server.
it would be way easier for them to keep this here updated instead of a bloated discord server where u dont find the info u need right away just say n.

@Mishioshu the last info in the updates channel is from 3 months ago tho there might be some more info in the other channels but its like i mentioned way to annoying to search for it. searched a little bit for it anyways to give info here but it seems theres nothing solid and no news but it sounded like they are still working on it but it will take some more time.
gonna dig a bit more tomorrow maybe i find something.

on the discord server, you get pinged when there is a significant update, and only in the channel for that update. So you are kept up to date.

Tengai who and don't care. Don't tell someone to be patient when they been waiting.
Dude, chill. I've been waiting literal YEARS for Freedom Planet 2, and the development has not only slowed to a crawl, the devs will mute anyone on the discord that asks when the release date is. (They're childish AF like that, ask how I know. 🙄)

So I know what the waiting game is like, but it will be done when it's done. If you want a chance of it being done faster, throw some cash into their donation bucket(s).

They probably said "Hey, why not we combine the two together and make a 'new' DS to sell".

It's a DS Lite in a slightly bigger DS Lite shell.

Nothing special about it other than it's more comfortable than the Lite

@SylverReZ if you could find a v5 DS ML you would have the best of both worlds since the v5 units had the same backlight brightness levels as the DS Lite unlockable with flashme

A woman with no arms and no legs was sitting on a beach. A man comes along and the woman says, "I've never been hugged before." So the man feels bad and hugs her. She says "Well i've also never been kissed before." So he gives her a kiss on the cheek. She says "Well I've also never been fucked before." So the man picks her up, and throws her in the ocean and says "Now you're fucked."

anyways, we need to re-normalize physical media

if i didn't want my games to be permanent, then i'd rent them

Agreed, that why I try to buy all my games on disc, Xbox anyways. Switch games (which I pirate tbh) don't matter much, I stay offline 24/7 anyways.
  • AncientBoi @ AncientBoi:
    I don't pirate them, I Use Them :mellow:. Like I do @BigOnYa 's couch :tpi::evil::rofl2:

@BakerMan - you can still "own" digital media, arguably easier and better than physical since you can make copies and backups, as much as you like.

    The issue is DRM
  • cearp @ cearp:
You can buy drm free games / music / ebooks, and if you keep backups of your data (like documents and family photos etc), then you shouldn't lose the game. but with a disk, your toddler could put it in the toaster and there goes your $60

    :rofl2:
  • cearp @ cearp:
still, I agree physical media is nice to have. just pointing out the issue is drm
  • rqkaiju2 @ rqkaiju2:
i like physical media because it actually feels like you own it. thats why i plan on burning music to cds
  • cearp @ cearp:
It's nice to not have to have a lot of physical things though, saves space
