i made a wad from the mario kart channel and it installed fine so i must say it works great (btw, the nand dump was from my previous system which was banner bricked and replaced by nintendo) so it made a nice wad which installs great at other systems...

Wow! I've just found this new version thread! So I have a new question:

If I create a non-trucha signed backup of my original VC/Wiiware channels, format my wii and try to reinatall them, are they going to work? Or I'm obliged to make a trucha signed backup of my original channels if I wish to restore them after formatting my Wii's memory?

Thanks for the great tool!

Non-trucha signed backups should work on your Wii after a format, that's sort of the purpose of a non-trucha signed version: a pure backup. However, I have never actually tested this (don't want to format my Wii), so I'd recommend making two sets of backups: one trucha-signed, one not. After your format, try to put the non-trucha signed back on. If it works, great; if not, you have the trucha-signed versions just in case.

Either way, post your results. I'd love to hear if it goes as planned.

Hi,
No problem with the version 1.2 but with this version 0.2, i have an error :
QUOTE said:
System Error &H8007007E (-2147024770)...

Make sure FM20.DLL is in the same folder as tf_wad_packer.exe.
It is and i have the same error.

If it is and you still get this error, try moving it to C:\Windows\system32 and doing the following:
Bringing up the Run window (Windows key+R) and typing: 'regsvr32 C:\Windows\system32\FM20.DLL', without the 's and hitting OK.
Ok, i do and i again have the same error.

same error

Thanks for offering, but don't go out of your way. I'm sure there's someone who already has the NTSC version that is willing to help me out.

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.

    I dread the price point.

This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
