Hacking Others What is required to create homebrew for the Wii?

Howdy guys, I don't know if this post can be here, if not you can delete it.

Since some time ago I've been wondering what previous knowledge and skills a person requires to make homebrew for the Wii, I know that they must learn the language with which the Wii is programmed but my question is what programming languages you should know to more easily understand the language of consoles like the Wii and be able to create homebrew for them?

C / devKit Pro / Libraries


Although, there's (I think) LUA interpreters for the Wii.

Yeah you need to spend sometime learning to program in C/C++.

As mentioned above C with the devKit is how you do it, If you're not familiar with C, I woud recommend learning it normally throug an online course, there are a lot of great free coding courses online, Ill link some of them later.
