Headphones

I'm looking for a decent pair of headphones. These are the headphones I have now. One of the ear cans has fallen off and is being held up by zip-ties. The sound is really sub par on these things. If the next one I get is not much better, that's fine. I'm not someone who is what some might call a "audiophile". I was browsing around newegg and saw the audio-technica ATH-FC700A. If anyone owns these or some other kind that they would like to tell me about, please do. My price range is $30-$60 and need to be circumaural (full sized headphones). :)

Considering I'm not buying from GBAtemp members; no.

I like the ones you linked to, they look good, and not too much either

Otherwise you could go for these :P

I think that's a wee bit over the $60 I'm willing to spend :P

Sennheiser HD201s.

If you want ADDITIONAL BASS BASS BASS BASS BASS BASS you can try for AKG K 81 DJs.

(srsly, just go IEM and RE0 it up)

I've got the fc700's not the fc700a's. Not entirely sure on the differencee but they'r great for what i paid for them.

If they're somewhat the same, expect great mid bass. Though you might want to play around with them a bit, sometimes its a bit too strong. They're great for electronica though.
The koss portapro http://www.amazon.com/Koss-PortaPro-Headph...5315&sr=1-2
or the koss ksc for high portability http://www.amazon.com/Koss-KSC75-Portable-...5315&sr=1-6 they both have the same drivers and considering that Cnet ranked the portapros one of the best headphones then they both should have very good sound quality if not I've read the the grado sr60 are also very good.
While the recommendation of these two are good, just a word of advice.

Don't trust Cnet for anything.

go to head-fi or something.

Last cnet review I read was their hd800 review and they complained about the cable being too long and them being to quite paired with an iPod.

Go to head-fi. Cnet believes that Bose is good for the value (Bahahahahaha), and Shure Se530 was never the king of IEMs.

Klipsch S4 is not even close to "top tier" IEMs. They're good for entry level, but that's it.

These websites are horribly biased and are not to be trusted.

Just wanted to chime in and say that although the KSC75 are good (nothing special) for the price, they aren't all that comfortable.

Also, someone recommended the HD201s... if they are anything like the HD202 as far as build goes, they are uncomfortable as fuck. I bought a pair and never use them because of how horribly uncomfortable they are.

really? i found hd202's to fit quite nicely on my head. 201's aren't as tight but don't sound as good imo.
