The biggest thing that sucked about basic training was the disconnection from the outside world. Not knowing the current affairs, what's going on with the family and friends, what new gadgets are out, etc. There's something comforting about being kept in the know about things like that. Which is why I'm so happy that my laptop arrived at the post office today! A beautiful ASUS A53S that I snagged for $600 on Black Friday! Now I can skype again, reconnect with people I haven't talked to for months and download and watch everything I've missed out on. This makes for a happy Josh
