    Hacking IOS80 help

I don't want to sound rude, but are you serious? You've gotten a bunch of answers already. You could restore the NAND backup that you recovered, or you can reinstall IOS80 by accessing HBC from BootMii. I would suggest the second,as that preserve any game saves and such since your backup was made.

Hacking Theoretical question about GameCube ROMs and WADs.

Normally I give the benefit of the doubt, but if you REALLY read up on it, you'd know that VC are emulators with ROMs and that the ROMs can in some cases be replaced with new games (of the same console), and you'd know that WiiWare aren't. Admittedly, it's not "constantly thrown in your face"...

    Hacking Riivolution for backups

It's great when companies do replace their products for free, but I think it's foolish to EXPECT a company to. I certainly don't think it would hurt Nintendo one bit to give replacement discs, provided a broken disc is sent to them, but it not their responsibility to. Nintendo provides the means...

    Hacking Riivolution for backups

But it's not that hard to keep discs in good condition. If a disc gets broken it's the owner's fault, or rather not the company's. chaosdarkneo said his brother broke the disc, which was either malicious, or a result of improper handling (left on the floor or something). It's not Nintendo's...

    Hacking Restore original wii Iso?

I'm not sure if I understood your post correctly, but here are some tips from the keywords I picked out: Gamecube backups can only, for the most part, be played off a disk, which newer Wiis can't do Assuming you CAN play GC backups, you need a cMIOS, not a cIOS Any cIOS (I think, it's at least...

    Hacking neek2o

Ok, I figured that was the case. And I agree that it's a shame the NEEKs never became more common. I only use it for RB3, since .wbfs and pretty USB loaders are just a more convenient format for me. Once I get this set up I may just leave my SD card plugged in :)

    Hacking neek2o

This sounds really cool! I can't wait for you to get your tutorials up so I can try it out! Just a quick question though; in the "HowToNandSel" guide on the code page, it shows the "nands" subfolder structure as "nand1", "nand2", etc. Is it possible to name these anything? For example could you...

    Hacking Legitimate Help Needed

Every game is different. It might be that you're converting them to the right format, or it might be that the game has a more specific check on the files (like length, or file size) than others. Switching two files already in the game would help you narrow it down. Saving it as (with?) Trucha...

    Hacking Legitimate Help Needed

I don't know why you're trying to compress and resize them, since I'm sure they were already compressed, and the right size to begin with. You should start by literally swapping files, I think. Take one video and change it with another, no modifications or anything. Just rename them and replace...

Hacking Trying to install with n7x

What is n7x?? I've never even heard of it... It's been a while since I hacked a Wii, but I think the step after getting HBC installed is installing cIOS236, then using 236 to install d2x with whatever base you want (I think 56 or 57 is what most people use) to slot 249. Whatever, forget what I...

Hacking Guitar Hero 6 complains about Logitech mic not inserted

Some of the games (at least on 360) allowed you to use a standard controller, mapping the frets to buttons. It was a bit harder and took away a LOT of the fun.

Hacking Guitar Hero 6 complains about Logitech mic not inserted

You need a mic if you're only using the Wiimote to navigate the menus. If you have a guitar or drums, it shouldn't ask for a mic.

    Hacking Question about ModMii

You install ModMii on your PC, it's not a Wii app. But it certainly will bring your Wii up to date. Just follow the very clear instructions. Generally people tell ModMii their Wii is unmodded, and skip the BannerBomb/game exploit/(recent)LetterBomb part.

    Hacking After I Hack it....

The only thing I can think of adding is that Bootmii requires an SD card. However, you should only need to run Bootmii once, and that's before you run any homebrew anyway, to make a NAND backup. So before you move your SD card back to your 3DS, go to the homebrew channel, press home (I'm pretty...

    Hacking Wiimote on computer

Try glovepie. You kind of have to "code" the buttons, but it's really really simple if you look at the help files. Here's an old script of mine to start you off, this is for the classic controller, but it'll give you a pretty good idea of what to do. I think it comes with an example or two as...
