We have decided to no longer upload episodes of the Tempcast on to the main GBAtemp YouTube channel. This is because the YouTube algorithm prefers completion rates of videos more than views or watch time, which means long format videos such as our podcast inhibit our channels growth due to the poor analytics they provide in the aforementioned statistics. Basically, we would need everyone who watches/listens to the Tempcast to not only watch the video to the end, but also somehow make it so people don't click on it without the intent of fully watching it.

We want our YouTube channel to grow and reach a bigger audience, and unfortunately for that to happen we would need the YouTube algorithm to be on our side. Which means, more frequent uploads of Reviews, Showcases, First Impressions and (possibly?) opinion pieces and tutorials. Unfortunately, the Tempcast while being some of the most viewed content on the channel, has the lowest completion rate (other than the occasional 8 hour long streams), thus constraining us severely in terms of growth and algorithm preference.

It was my decision a new channel would be created for GBAtemp's long format content, called GBAtemp Archive, where the Tempcast and Twitch Streams will now be uploaded to. All previous episodes of the Tempcast will still be present on the main channel, but from episode 70 on forward it will be published on the Archive channel.
