— The Story —
After solving a multitude of curious conundrums, renowned archaeologist Professor Layton receives a rather peculiar letter.
The sender of this letter is none other than his assistant Luke...but from 10 years in the future! 'Future Luke' has found himself in quite a predicament. The London he knows and loves has been thrown into absolute chaos.
Initially thinking that Luke may have simply been pulling his leg with a harmless jest, the professor cannot help but recall the terrible events that occurred the previous week...
The start of which was an unveiling ceremony of mankind's first time machine, attended by many prominent figures from throughout the nation.
In the midst of a demonstration, the time machine went awry, and engulfed the audience in a terrible explosion.
Several of the attendees mysteriously vanished into thin air, including Prime Minister Bill Hawks.
Unable to shake the feeling that the time machine's explosion may somehow be connected, Professor Layton and Luke set off to the location mentioned in the letter, a clock shop on Midland Road in Baldwin, embarking on what might be the biggest mystery they have ever encountered.

Release Name:
Professor Layton Lost Future HD Vita v.1.0

Author:
Rinnegatamante

Description:
This is a wrapper/port of Professor Layton: Lost Future HD for the PS Vita. The port works by loading the official Android ARMv7 executable in memory, resolving its imports with native functions and patching it in order to properly run. By doing so, it's basically as if we emulate a minimalist Android environment in which we run natively the executable as is.

Requirements:
-libshacccg
-kubridge
-FdFix
-Game Data Files: Android
(tested with v.1.0.1 = confirmed from CatoTheYounger)
(tested with v1-0-0 = confirm myself)

First Release: v.1.0

Download + NFO :
https://vitadb.rinnegatamante.it/#/info/1154

Note:
-This port works only with versions of the game where an obb file was still used. It has been tested with v.1.0.1.
Known Issues:
-Post puzzle solution animation is a bit slow. (Likely cause of I/O overhead)
-Very rarely, videos play sped up and without audio and can freeze although you are still able to skip them in order to progress the game. (sceAvPlayer qwirk).

Setup Instructions Game Data:
-Obtain your copy of Professor Layton: Lost Future HD legally for Android in form of an .apk file and an obb. You can get all the required files directly from your phone or by using an apk extractor you can find in the play store.
-Open the apk with your zip explorer and extract the file libll3.so from the lib/armeabi-v7a folder to ux0:data/layton_future.
-Extract the folder assets inside ux0:data/layton_future.
-Extract the obb file in ux0:data/layton_future/data and rename the file main.obb.

Install Instructions kubridge, FdFix and libshacccg:
(!) Note Don't install fd_fix.skprx if you're using rePatch plugin
-copying kubridge.skprx and fd_fix.skprx to your taiHEN plugins folder (usually ux0:tai) and adding two entries to your config.txt under *KERNEL:
*KERNEL
ux0:tai/kubridge.skprx
ux0:tai/fd_fix.skprx
- Install libshacccg.suprx

Optional Overclock Install:
PSVshell to overclock your device to 500Mhz.

Credits:
TheFloW for the original .so loader.
CatoTheYounger for testing the homebrew and providing screenshots.
YogaBudiW for the Livearea assets.

Thank you Rinnegatamante !

Test :
PSTV 3.65 + 32GB Sony Card + fd_fix + PS3 Controller (NO Overclock tools used, NO autoplugin or what ever used)
Compile myself = YES
Version = apk + cache data v1-0-0 (version include obb file)
File Size = 1.4GB
Result = WORKING
Multilanguage 5 = German WORKING
PSTV Touchpointer = WORKING
Note: intro video was stop, so I had skip it, after that game works mostly perfect. tested 30 minutes

@AncientBoi, Yeah, believe you can do PSP games as well. But a Pi5 is much powerful in comparison.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Not sure about other models of Pi4 but the Pi 4 B with 8GBs OCed to 2Ghz handles PSP really great except like 1 game I found and it is playable it just looks bad lol Motor Storm Arctic something or other.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Other games I can have turned up to like 2X and all kinds of enhancements, Motorstorm hmmm nope 1X and no enhancements lol

Waiting for Anbernic's rg[whatever]SP price announcement, gimme.

I will admit that one does seem more interesting than the usual Ambernic ones, and I already liked those.
  • Veho @ Veho:
    I dread the price point.

  • Veho @ Veho:
This looks like one of their premium models, so... $150 :glare:
    +1
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
    To me that seems reasonable.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I mean since basically all the games are errmmm free lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean yeah sure but the specs are the same as a $50 model, it's just those pesky "quality of life" things driving up the price, like an actually working speaker, or buttons that don't melt, and stuff like that.

  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I think all in my Pi 4 was well north of 200 bucks 150ish for the Pi 4 the case the fancy cooler, then like 70 for the 500GB MicroSD then like 70 for the Xbox controller. But honestly it's a nice set up I really enjoy and to me was worth every penny. (even bought more controllers for 2 or 4 player games.) hmmm have never played any 2 player games yet :(
  • Veho @ Veho:
Yeah that's what I hate about the RPi, it's supposedly $30 or something but it takes an additional $200 of accessories to actually turn it into a working something.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
yes that's the expensive part lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I mean sure it's flexible and stuff but so is uremum but it's fiddly.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah a lot of it I consider a hobby, using Batocera I am constantly adjusting the collection adding and removing stuff, scraping the artwork. Haven't even started on some music for the theme... Also way down the road I am considering attempting to do a WiiFlow knock off lol
  • Veho @ Veho:
I want everything served on a plate plz ktnx, "work" is too much work for me.
  • Veho @ Veho:
Hmm, with that in mind, maybe a complete out-the-box solution with all the games collected, pacthed and optimized for me would be worth $150
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
Yeah it's all choice and that's a good thing :)
