Hi, I wanted to ask if it's possible for a slow USB stick to cause lag/low FPS in games on USB Loader? I notice it more in newer more graphics intensive Wii games. The USB stick only has a transfer speed of around 3.5 MBps. Could this be the issue, or is there something I can do in the settings? Thanks!

If it's writing at 3.5 mb/s then the average range can be from 3 to 10 mb/s from what i've read so it's in spec. Read speed can be anywhere from 10 to 25 mb/s on average. Maybe check the read/write speeds with a PC or laptop. Never had a wii so i'm not sure beyond that,

I see spikes up to 10 mbps, but it stays around 3.5 on average. This is while transferring my game library to it. I checked it on my PC. Not sure if transferring to a USB 3.2 device might improve it, although the Wii can only read USB 2.0. Or maybe there could be a setting in USB Loader to fix it, not sure.

Usb is backwards compatible so if you use a usb 3.0 device in a usb 2.0 slot, it 'should' give you maxed out usb 2.0 speeds when used with a device that only supports usb 2.0. Whether that is ok with a wii and usb loader GX or not, idk. Maybe someone elase will know.

Not all Wii games run full speed with perfect framerate on unmodified hardware. You'll want to rule out vanilla behavior by comparing your performance to that, before you try to troubleshoot your setup.

That Dell data breach is worse than people probably realize....

When I worked for Dell we had access to data about military contracts and addresses for high ranking people.

I personally handled a call from the second highest person at Raytheon. That call bothered me a lot... The guy was nice and smart what bothered me was the way management basically just blew him off instead of going the extra mile to help him.
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
In the end that call ended up costing Dell millions in lost contracts with Raytheon, and really the issue could have been solved for like 450 bucks lol

sometimes I wonder why anyone would ever buy mega man x legacy collection 2
  • NinStar @ NinStar:
I always thought that capcom shuffled the games in these collection, but apparently they are all in chronological order, which makes legacy collection 2 worthless
