ROM Hack Why can't I get Heart Gold to stop freezing?

This is actually the first game in japanese I've ever bought but after playing a little i got pissed..
I got the rom onto my computer because i badly want a patch for translation..
But it keeps freezing during battle sequences and I end up having to save every 2 minutes... Which isn't worth it.
My question is, what patch should I use and is it possible that the translation is making it freeze?
The patch i used was patch36 or 37 by rudolph?
Then i used a translation..
I got an r4 and have seen others with the same discomfort in their game as well..
Which patch can you confirm works for the original r4 1.18 fw?

both translations works fine [kazo and raqib]
and you don;t need to patch the rom with rudolph anti freeze patch in advance
because the translation patches have included the anti-freeze itself
